Kadir Has University Vocational School of Technical Sciences (VSTS) was founded in 1999, moved to its new and modern campus at Selimpaşa, in 2005, and during the short period of its existence developed a reputation as one of the most dynamic and leading educational institutions in the country.

VSTS curriculum aims a distinctive approach to education by combining the theoretical studies with design and experimental works, to this end the curriculum covers rich associate degree programs that serve as transfer opportunities between programs and to license  degree programs at four-year campuses or for direct entry to the workforce. The teaching process is carried out by a professional team of teachers, most of them having Ph.D. degrees. There are various grants and scholarships to students who qualify. The quality of the education is proved by the success in the examinations to transfer to license degree programs, performed by the Council of Higher Education.

VSTS offers programs in Computer Programming, Communication Electronics Technology, Graphics Design and Mechatronics. The subject programs are chosen in accordance with technological structuring of our country by TÜBİTAK Vizyon 2023 project.

At present, VSTS encompasses a 150-acre campus provided with modern classrooms, library, conference room, fitness centre and an excellent laboratory infrastructure, located at Selimpaşa, on Marmara Sea shore. VSTS campus and facilities provide a tidy, peaceful, enjoyable and calm environment for the students. The campus has already become an attraction center in the Thracian region.

VSTS students are brought up as preferred high quality technicians in two years.  During this period, they also meet with the professional business life in a close cooperation with the industrial plants in the region and acquire experience and knowledge required for their future careers. Thus, after graduation they may either get job opportunities or achieve to become a candidate for a successful license degree program in country or abroad.
